I am a therapist in the Philadelphia area specializing in the behavioral treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I have a particular interest in treatment OCD and OC related disorders. Prior to the moving to the Philadelphia area, I worked at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) of UPMC in Pittsburgh. At WPIC, I worked in a number of Intensive Outpatient Programs targeting reduction of mood, anxiety and OCD symptoms. I also have experience working with children with behavioral difficulties as well as adult with substance use disorders. I completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institue, (BTTI) an intensive training program for the treatment of OCD and OCD related disorders. I have also completed the intensive Prolonged Exposure for PTSD treatment through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania.
My B.A. is from Gettysburg College, I have a M.A. in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a MSW from The University of Pittsburgh. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania. I am a member of the International OCD foundation (IOCDF), and board member for the Pennsylvania affiliate of the IOCDF.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters. I have training as a yoga teacher and my learnings there do influence my work. I enjoying outdoor and athletic activities as well as reading and writing.
